Can find no OPR entry for Isabella., but gravestone inscription has White/McCarter.
Lewis White death certificate has McArter, as do the death certificates for Isabella , Anne and James White
OPR entry for marriage has Alexander White and Isabella McKarter.
Barbara query same family as mother is Margaret McDonald according to death certificate..but names do not appear to be 100% accurate as it depends on what the informant knows. For example, Barbara's own daughter, Ann Brown has her father down on her death certificate as Alexander Brown, not Donald, according to the informant.
As birth dates are pretty similar to ages in censuses, assumption is that Isabella McDonald and Isabella McCarter( and variations) are one and the same.. |
